The Orlando Sentinel's Top 100 Companies for Working Families program is accepting applications for its 21st year of recognizing companies in Central Florida that demonstrate a core commitment to family and work/life balance.

We’ve made some changes to the application and program to make it easier for you to apply. The Top 100 application consists of a series of questions that looks at your core benefits, family-related benefits, work environment, communication, and training. The applications are then scored and ranked.

The application process begins on
March 17th and ends on May 2nd

There are now three company size categories:

This year we expanded the size categories to three, 1-99 employees, 100-499 employees, and 500 employees and above. The companies will be ranked by score from the highest to lowest. The companies with the highest score in each category are named Corporate Champion for that size category.

Corporate Champion:


The highest rated company in each size category. There will be a total of three (3) selected.



An Independent panel, of local human resources experts, then reviews the applications and supporting documents uploaded by the applicants to determine a winner for our Specialty Awards. Our Specialty Awards are as follows:


Community Service Award: This award is given to the company that demonstrates the highest level of community involvement in the Central Florida area. This involvement is measured through the number of hours logged through employee participation, financial contribution to local charities, percentage of employee involvement, and integration of community involvement into their corporate culture. There will only be one (1) company selected for this award. All companies are eligible to apply for consideration.

Cutting Edge Award: This award is given to the company that demonstrates the most innovative benefit and/or technological innovation that has significantly improved work/life quality for their employees. This benefit and/or technological innovation must have been developed specifically for this purpose, and should be outlined to show the number of employees impacted, potential cost savings to the company from implementation, and include any feedback as it relates to how employees are using the benefit and/or device. There will only be one (1) company selected for this award. All companies are eligible to apply for consideration.

Employees Choice Award: This award is given to the company that has had the most impact on their employees. This award is measured by direct feedback and/or nomination from your employees. Your employees will be able to go directly to the site and apply for this award. The entry date for this award is TBD. Please check back for details! There will only be one (1) company selected for this award. All companies are eligible to apply for consideration.
