The Orlando Sentinel's Top 100 Companies for Working Families program is celebrating its 20th Anniversary of being the premier program in Central Florida for recognizing companies that demonstrate a core commitment to family and work/life balance.
The Top 100 application consists of a series of questions that looks at your core benefits, family-related benefits, work environment, communication, and training. The applications are then scored and ranked.
There are two size categories: companies with 249 employees or less, and companies that have 250 employees or more. The final Top 100 companies are comprised of the top 50 companies in each size category. The companies with the highest score in each category are named Corporate Champion. An independent panel of local human resources experts review the applications and supporting documents uploaded by the applicants to determine a winner for Specialty Awards, such as the Cutting Edge Award and the Community Service Champion Award. The Judges also select the Employees’ Choice Award, which are based on nomination letters submitted by employees. So, this is an opportunity to not only look at what you offer your employees, but to engage them and let them tell us why your company is such a great place to work.
